Yoga As Activism – Heels, Hips, Heart, Head
With Kali Sanders via Zooom – A 4 week series, Wednesdays, July 15, 22, 29, and August 5
This series will explore four critical points in the body: feet, pelvis, heart center, and the head/neck. We will bring awareness to these regions while moving through gentle asana, honing the radical skills of grounding, calming, and opening.
For those attending protests, you will find tools for maintaining your physical body in-between and during community action. This exploration of the body is designed to help sustain your activism through physical well-being and mental health.
Are you unable to attend protests in person, but are still invested in the Black Lives Matter movement? In this series you can find tools to initiate cultural change within yourself. Learn to actively listen to yourself so you may actively listen to others. Open up to yourself, so you may be open to others. Find empowerment through awareness of your body-mind connection.
Sustaining our well-being as a community is an inherently revolutionary act. Take action: get on the mat!
All monies collected will be donated to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona
