This sound experience offers many benefits — physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. This type of sound offers a calming effect on the brain and nervous system, allowing for very deep relaxation and stress relief. When we are soothed this way, healing happens!
The Tibetan Sound Healing Circle has similarities to the Gong Bath, but is also very different. You will receive some individual attention while lying on the floor, comfortably propped (unless you prefer to sit in a chair, which is fine). There will not be the same extreme loudness and most of the sound will be from Tibetan Singing Bowls. Each participant will experience singing bowls placed on their body for most of the workshop, unless you prefer not to have a bowl on you — your choice. Participants will be arranged in a circle with the instruments in the center.
You are welcome to utilize the center’s mats, blankets, chairs, etc. (or bring your own), so you will be comfortable throughout. Please do NOT eat within 2-3 hours of receiving this type of energy work and drink plenty of water that day. Dress comfortably and natural-fiber clothing without words on it is recommended.
