Join Us for a slow moving yin practice that will help you connect to the Earth element and your inner calm. This will be a slow moving yin practice, centered in nervous system regulation and body awareness, with plenty of time between shapes to notice body sensations. Ayurvedic wisdoms and Chinese meridian sequence will be incorporated for seasonal well-being. Simple mantras will be led at the start and end of class, with Sanskrit prayers offered during final relaxation. Previous experience with a yin practice is recommended.
Gabrielle Pietrangelo is a musician and yoga practitioner who has been exploring yoga since 1998. She began teaching in 2008, where she taught variations of vinyasa and yin yoga. Gabrielle’s yin yoga instruction is influenced by the work of Sarah Powers and Paul Grilley. Gabrielle weaves concepts from Chinese meridian theory, nervous system regulation and Ayurvedic philosophy into her teaching. Gabrielle’s yin offerings are slow moving, making space for silence, following the wave of breath and somatic awareness in between long held shapes. With a background in music, Gabrielle gracefully weaves sound tradition into her classes, leading mantra and singing prayers.
