Second Sunday Circle – Entering the Heart of Presence
with Jamia Janine Walter, NCBTMB, SEP
$30, no cost for Sol Members *registration is required for all
This last Second Sunday Circle of the year event is a Sufi inspired blend of movement, stillness, poetry, and quiet. Alternating the joyful, interactive and sacred energy of Dances of Universal Peace with periods of rich, deep abiding in silent meditation- you will be guided into an embodied experience of unity and deep nervous system regulation. The Dances are a wonderful celebration of Interfaith spirituality and require no prior experience or dance ability. Meditative movement and stillness together offer the beautiful balance of alertness and relaxation, outward and inward attention, connection and solitude. We will also honor the beloved Sufi poet, Jalaluddin Rumi, whose Urs (death anniversary ) is on Dec. 17th.
Come, come, whoever you are.
Wanderer, worshipper, lover of leaving.
It doesn’t matter.
Ours is not a caravan of despair.
Come, even if you have broken your vows a thousand times.
Come, yet again, come, come.
Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi
