This practice is designed to move you gently towards the goal of Yoga, the stilling of the waves of the mind. Classically, it is this state that offers the greatest relief of physical, emotional, and mental tensions and deepest insight into one’s true nature. The sequence starts with movement to balance the nervous system, then progresses to guided relaxation, and then culminates in more formal, quiet concentration and meditation practice. Together this triad of practices invites you to explore the higher rungs of the Yoga Path with structure and openness, and to cultivate the inner peace and ease that Yoga promises. All levels of experience with yoga and meditation are welcome.
