There is a really solid reason most yoga sequences start with Samastithi (equal pose) or Tadasana (Mountain Pose). These poses help us find equilibrium in our posture, and set the rest of our practice up for success with attention to our roots.
And speaking of roots, did you know that 70% of the brain information about movement comes from our feet?! With this said, focus on the feet puts us in step with our nervous system and the world around us.
In this workshop we’ll explore all of the wonders of the feet through asana, creative movement, self-massage , discussion about the Vagus nerve, deep yogic rest, and play.
As the great mindfulness master of our time, Thich Nhat Hanh taught, “Walk as if you are kissing the earth with your feet.”
Join us for a sweet dose of foot reverence and whole body revelry.
