Yoga Focus: Chair & Repair
Chair Yoga has the reputation of being for people who can’t do regular yoga; in reality, all of us need adaptations for yoga to be truly beneficial and therapeutic.
This class is intended for people who want the many benefits of a general yoga class, without having to get up and down off the floor or put pressure on various joints like the wrists and knees.
Practice will vary from sitting to standing to using the wall for support, with some options for lying down as well. Far from being a sedentary experience, the chair becomes a dynamic prop for strengthening, stretching, breathing, and meditating.
