Second Sunday Circle for this month:
In January we often think about intentions. There may be enthusiasm, an eagerness to begin anew. There may be skepticism, a sense that it never quite holds. There are a lot of good ideas and thoughtful advice that contribute to the movement you hope for.
In this session we will explore the yogic practice of sankalpa, sometimes called inner resolve or heart’s desire. It is a spiritual tool to align your outer and inner being. It is a gentle and hopeful approach to realizing your highest and best self, little by little.
In this session we will also look at the sometimes complicated concept of prayer. In definition it denotes a solemn request or expression, an earnest hope or wish. What might it mean to bring back a sense of prayer that is not necessarily religious? Are you not already doing that in other ways you may not recognize? What does faith mean to you at this time of life?
All of this will be explored inwardly primarily, conversationally secondarily, and with care. Sometimes your most authentic sankalpa is I am enough right now….I am always doing the best I can….
The Second Sunday Circle is a monthly gathering to explore diverse topics relating to spiritual perspective, path, and practice in an experiential and conversational format. Long time and brand new sol center friends are welcome.
