Like any other muscle group, the pelvic floor is part of a holistic system in our body that can become dysfunctional from pregnancy, aging, childbirth, stress, illness, and more.
Bonnie will provide evidenced based presentations, take-home materials, and yoga for self-empowerment with a lens on the pelvic floor.
Participants will learn and practice:
-Specialized breath work
-A series of yoga poses and their modifications that can bring the pelvic floor and it’s surrounding systems back into balance.
-Basic pelvic floor anatomical awareness
Bonnie Golden, M.Ed eRYT, is a long time Tucson area yoga teacher and the owner of Yoga with Bonnie/Yoga in Balance LLC . She specializes in Prenatal, Postpartum, Beginners, Chair, and “Boomer” Yoga. Among many areas of training and teaching expertise, Bonnie is certified through Baxter Bell M.D. and Nina Zolotow as a “Yoga for Healthy Aging” instructor and through Dr. Sarah Ellis Duvall as a Prenatal and Postpartum (and beyond) Corrective Exercise specialist focusing on pelvic floor and core health across the lifespan.
Bonnie’s students enjoy her accessible teaching style, with a focus on safe practices, empowerment, calm, self-awareness, and fun. Her expertise in teaching is infused with her love of lifelong learning.
