Yin Yoga stands out as a unique practice, where you hold passive poses for several moments each. In contrast to more dynamic yoga styles, Yin focuses on stretching connective tissue such as ligaments and fascia, rather than muscles. Picture easing into a pose with support from props like cushions and bolsters, and having plenty of time to breathe and be.
Our Yin Yoga Spring Series is an opportunity to Immerse in an hour of restorative Yin Yoga along with a weekly exploration of the ten foundational principles of Raja Yoga Philosophy- the five Yamas and the five Niyamas. Highlighting one principle each week we will weave contemplation directly into the experience of the poses, and get curious about how to put the principle into practice in our life and world. These ten principles form the basis of an ethical and disciplined lifestyle and are said to bring great power when perfected.
