The Topic for December:
As the Sol Center is named for the Sun and is dedicated to being a contemplative community of practice, we take the solstice season seriously. Solstice literally means stopping. The sun is stopping its course, from our earthly perspective, and then shifting a new direction. We are heading into the dark and cold season of Winter, and yet the marking of Winter on the darkest day, is also the celebration of the renewing of the light.
Contemplation likewise implies stopping, taking time to consider, looking deeply at what is most important. In our gathering on this day, we will take time to slow down and rest. Have time to creatively reflect on the past year, and also celebrate what is. Please join us for a special day of contemplative community.
The Second Sunday Circle is a monthly gathering to explore diverse topics relating to spiritual perspective, path, and practice in an experiential and conversational format. Long time and brand new sol center friends are welcome.
