Hatha to Nidra
Hatha Yoga involves the balancing of opposites to support the experience of unity; it also implies the physical effort needed to clear away sickness and confusion. Our Hatha Yoga Classes include classical and modern takes on poses/asanas and breathing techniques. Different than a flow yoga class, practices are more detailed and may engage props in various ways. More than physical fitness, the experience aims to instill and refine the body, mind, spirit connection, and is approachable to a wide range of student.
This particular Hatha Yoga practice will lead into an extended relaxation/meditation experience called Yoga Nidra, or Yogic Sleep- a systematic process of deepening your felt connection to the body at ease and the mind at rest in awareness. Yoga Nidra as a formal practice is associated with better sleep, pain management, improved mood, enhanced memory, and creativity.
