Improving your balance ability depends upon multiple factors. With aging, our balance systems often don’t work as well as they used to. Fortunately, yoga and related multimodal practices progress our balance abilities, as well as agility capabilities for fall prevention. Learn how to safely assess, practice , and improve your balance and agility skills with this specialized workshop.
Session includes:
- Evidence based information about balance, agility, and fall prevention
- Yoga and related practices for balance, agility, strength, flexibility, and equanimity for mind and body, all designed for healthy aging and fall prevention.
Who should attend: Those interested in learning how yoga and other multimodal movement practices can be employed for balance, agility, and a quality health span. If you have low bone density or osteoporosis, improving balance and preventing falls is a crucial strategy to stay mobile and prevent fractures. This session is for participants who can move unassisted up and down from the floor. Continuing Education Credit is available for RYT’s.
