Simple breath awareness can be transformative.  Basic breath coordination can be healing.  Expanding the feeling of the breath in the body helps refine the body/mind/spirit connection.  In this mini intensive we will go even further in the exploration of breath, movement, and meditation by weaving the back breath into everything we do.  Back breathing or spinal breathing is an approach pioneered by Rama Jyoti Vernon that invites a deeper interaction of both the physical and subtle body.  With no goal in mind, back breathing evolves basic yoga poses into deep meditative explorations and spiritual offerings.

This workshop is intended for those who have competency with basic yoga postures and are interested in going further into the physical/spiritual experience.  In addition to personal practice on your mat, there will be interactive demonstrations and some hands on partner work.

Natasha Korshak is a long-time teacher and trainer of yoga, meditation, mindfulness and MBSR, and has been working in the field of integrative health and wellness her entire professional career.  She is a graduate of the Interfaith Theological Seminary and an ordained Interfaith Minister specializing in contemplative practice, grief processing, and spiritual direction. Her study and training of mind/body/spirit methods is extensive and she has learned from many of the pioneers in their discipline.  As the founder and director of the Sol Center she is well regarded for her depth, warmth, authenticity, and the smile in her voice.
