Spacious pauses between shapes will invite you to notice subtle body sensations and support nervous system regulation and repair. A short pranayama practice and seated meditation will be offered toward the end of class. Gabrielle will share healing mantras and sound during savasana to gently soothe the heart. Gabrielle Pietrangelo is a songwriter, musician and yoga practitioner whose devotion to music and yoga has been a steady thread throughout her life. She began teaching in 2008 at Tucson Yoga Studio, where she offered weekly vinyasa and yin classes for 15 years, cultivating a thoughtful and loyal community of students. She is currently teaching a monthly class at Sol Center while deepening her focus on her music. A dedicated student of Ayurveda, Gabrielle has studied with Vasant Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute, completing multiple trainings and undergoing her first Panchakarma there. Most recently, she returned from a traditional Panchakarma retreat at Vaidyagrama in Southern India, further deepening her practice. Gabrielle integrates Chinese meridian theory, chakra theory, Ayurveda and nervous system awareness into her teaching, creating spacious, contemplative classes that invite deep listening, attention to the subtle body and breath. Her yin yoga instruction is influenced by Sarah Powers and Paul Grilley, and her approach encourages students to explore their inner landscape with safety, curiosity, and respect for their unique edges. With her background in music, Gabrielle gracefully weaves sound into her teaching, leading mantra and offering devotional songs during savasana to create a tender and grounding close to practice.
