Spring Equinox marks the day the sun begins its bi-annual stay in the Northern Hemisphere and is directly over the Equator. As it is especially beneficial around the change of seasons, it is the most perfect of times for Yoga Nidra.
Yoga Nidra is a special form of guided meditation that invites deep relaxation of the body and mind. Relaxation in Yoga is the gateway to deeper healing, an important skill that allows the innate intelligence of the body to operate and the mind to rest in its essential clear nature. Yoga Nidra is like a lullaby, a balm you receive simply by hearing it. The practice will include a brief orientation and intention setting, guided breath and body sensing, some visualization and affirmation, and a quite closing practice.
All are welcome. No yoga or meditation experience is necessary. Please have a blanket or wrap to be warm for relaxation practices, and pad/pen for personal writing exercises.
