Winter Solstice is the day the sun stops, the light of the sun is weakest, and the season changes.
With the sun as our cue, and the deeper darkness as our inspiration, the potency of Yoga Nidra is naturally accentuated.
Called sleep of the yogi, Yoga Nidra invites conscious relaxation and expanded awareness of our physical, subtle, mental, intuitive, and spiritual natures. Classically, there are many benefits attributed to the practice including general stress relief, physical & mental rejuvenation, improved sleep & memory, enhanced intuition and creativity.
Laura Brandlen has over 20 years experience practicing several modalities of yoga and has a special interest in yin, restorative, and nidra. When she discovered a limited amount of Yoga Nidra offerings in the Tucson area she decided to become a teacher and teach it. Restorative/Yin/Nidra yoga is the medicine our individual and collective nervous systems need right now. Laura is the mother to three grown daughters and has three grandboys whom she enjoys taking camping as often as possible.
