Solstice Spiral Yoga Play Date
Solstice Spiral Yoga Play Date
With guest teacher, Cordelia Rose
Saturday, June 18th from 10:00 to 12noon
Free to attend :)
We will practice Asanas of mountains, rivers, mesas, constellations and wilderness creatures. This playful solstice class is infused with the spirit of the Gila Wilderness, Whitewater Mesa Labyrinths, and Cordelia’s creative flare. We will take an imaginary camping trip and walk an imaginary labyrinth. Within the labyrinth we will contemplate the height of the light and the beginning of the new season. We will enjoy our bodies, breath, and the opportunity to play in person. Consider this a warm up for our May 2023 Sol Center/Glenwood Yoga Gila Wilderness retreat! All levels of flexibility and experience are welcome.
Cordelia Rose is a former Gila Wilderness wrangler, a master labyrinth maker, and the founder of Glenwood Yoga. In her previous life she worked behind the scenes in museums in London, Nairobi and New York City. She ended her museum career as the registrar of the Cooper-Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, and is famous for her impeccable record of moving art objects across the world without loss, theft, or damage. She is also famous for riding her Brompton folding bike everywhere. She has left Manhattan and exchanged her bike for a horse and now lives happily upon the Whitewater Mesa near Glenwood, New Mexico with her husband Mike, her horse Stretch, and donkey Chloe.
