Prāṇāyāma: Yoga Breathing Illuminated – A 3 Week Seminar, November 2, 9, 16

Pranayama is the conscious, mindful regulation of our breath.  The ancient yogis developed practices that had many positive influences on our physical, mental, and emotional health.  They also presented pranayama as a preparation for meditation practice, helping us to quiet the mind. With consistent practice over time, we are able to cultivate inner calm, resiliency, and equanimity in our daily lives.

Over three 2 hour experiential sessions pranayama techniques and practices will be taught to help you experience the breath following the guidelines of the ancient texts and modified for modern times. Class includes gentle yoga practice to prepare for pranayama, and discussion, based upon your feedback, of how these practices can be used in your daily life.
