Partner Yoga: Play & Delight
With Rain Dvorak & Leslie Aragon
Sunday, March 22nd from 2:00 to 4:00
$50 for the both of you, Sol Member discount applicable
Partner Yoga is a fun and interesting way to experience yoga postures and your body anew. Through friendly touch, gentle pressure, assisted extension, balanced support, and breath feedback you will sense alignment, form, and effortless as never before. The idea is not to stretch more or achieve anything, rather to relax, receive, notice, and enjoy new movement terrain together.
Your partner can be friend, family, partner or whomever you feel comfortable with. There will be options for each partner exercise to accommodate many bodies (bendy to stiff, older to younger, taller to smaller). You’ll have to trust each other at times, like leaning into each other or holding onto each other. Safety and Communication will be emphasized throughout.
Bring an empty-ish stomach (always better not be in active digestion mode) your yoga mats and your smile. There are plenty of center props to use and borrow as needed.
Rain and Leslie are two of Sol Center’s core teachers. They love their yoga and the extra of partner work. Rain has a deep background in classical yoga flow (ashtanga) and form (Iyengar) and is always focused on safe and mindful practice. She is also trained in numerous energy medicine modalities and brings subtle body depth to her teaching. Leslie comes to yoga from a career in archeology and has deep knowledge of the dirt of our desert. As someone with hypermobility (hEDS) she has learned a great deal through injury and rehabilitation.
