Modern Mindfulness Primer: The What, Why, How
In this session we will look at the evolution of mindfulness into medicine, health, care and society as well as the traditional roots in Buddhism.
You will learn how meditation practice can benefit you physically, mentally, and emotionally and the basics of how to work with difficult mind/body states in the moment.
Lecture and discussion will be interspersed with an introduction to meditation practice. This offering is for beginners, particularly those who have heard or read a lot, but still aren’t sure it is for them.
