Mindful Relationships – 3 Week Series beginning July 11th

Note: This class is now full

This is a series of 3 classes July 11th, 18th and 25th and the cost is $75 for the series.

The popular sociologist Brene Brown, PhD defines connection as “ the energy that is created between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment.” This is essentially what we give ourselves when we cultivate mindfulness- in meditation and in life; an energized connection to ourselves and to others.

In this series we will explore foundational practices of mindful listening & speaking and their relevance to enhancing relationships of all varieties- family, friends, colleagues, and acquaintances. The correlation of intrapersonal and interpersonal mindfulness will be explained as well as concepts of empathy, attunement, resonance, and compassion. Using personal meditation as the starting point, then expanding to one-on-one, small group, and large group interaction we will practice stabilizing presence and opening to the possibility inherent in every encounter.
