Sounds of Sanskrit Chanting Hour
With Cynthia Russell, DMA, RYT-500, YACEP
We will gather together (via Zooom) to explore how the sounds of the Sanskrit Alphabet are a complete mantric practice unto themselves. These sounds are easy to learn and can produce profound states of relaxation and ease. As we progress through the regular practice of these mini mantras, we will explore how they build the vibrational experience of the Yoga Sutras. We will take a group of sutras, chant the syllables and weave together the music of this powerful group of spiritual sounds.
This is a practice for anyone curious about how sound heals. It is direct experience guided by the sounds themselves that will guide the practitioner to the deeper states of being. There are no prerequisites for attendance. And each week we will enter into the practice through the alphabet, so feel free to drop in any time.
Cynthia Russell will be the guide for this adventure in sound. She is a lifelong musician and teacher and lover of sound. The Sanskrit Alphabet is her new song, the vibrational experience her yoga. Her understanding of the human voice and breath process interweaves with her love of this practice. This is a unique opportunity to share in the practice with more freedom as we embrace the technological gift of online teaching. Everyone is welcome!
