Learning to meditate is an empowering choice to connect to your deeper self and to relate to life and others in a fuller way. Meditation is a gift, a practice, a skill, and an adventure.\nIn these four classes you will:\n• Expand your understanding of current mind/body science and its relevance to meditation & mindfulness practice.\n• Clarify your motivation and realistic ways to develop an ongoing meditation practice.\n• Learn foundational techniques to increase focus, concentration, and attention.\n• Learn foundational techniques for expanding, broadening, and opening awareness.\n• Build skills and confidence for working with difficult body/mind states.\nAll sessions blend practice, process, and teaching and foster a personal and interpersonal learning environment. Each week there will be the invitation to continue a daily micro-practice between sessions. And, as the series is open to new students each week, sessions are designed to accommodate new attendees.\n\n\nNatasha Korshak is the founder of the Mindfulness & MBSR Programs’ of Tucson and the Sol Center. She is a long time teacher of yoga, meditation, mindfulness and MBSR and is the former Director of Mindfulness Education for Miraval: Life in Balance Resort. In this unique role, she helped to design and deliver mindfulness programs for guests, staff, and the local community; she was also privileged to speak about the benefits of mindfulness to national audiences. She has completed professional training at the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care and Society and continues to study & practice related mindfulness, meditation, and inquiry methods.\n \n
